Welcome to Sunrise Drive Elementary School. Sunrise Drive is a student centered learning community, which celebrates all of our young learners. Our expert teachers provide engaging learning opportunities for students using researched based instructional strategies and rich governing board adopted curriculum materials.
We are committed to preparing students to be global citizens through the development of Deep Learning Proficiencies: Communication, Citizenship, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Creativity and Innovation, Collaboration, and Systems Thinking. Across our campus, students are applying their daily learning to real-world experiences. You will find second graders building catapults and crafting science reports as they analyze their collection of data. In the garden you will see our students conducting experiments related to plant life cycles, habitats, and water collection. In fifth grade, our authors analyze mentor texts to refine their own writing. Our third graders are able to report the weather in a variety of languages: English, Spanish and Mandarin.
We are an inclusive school. We celebrate the uniqueness of each child as we join together to learn. Sunrise Drive proudly serves students diverse in interest and background. To meet the diverse interests of our students, Sunrise Drive offers clubs during lunch recess so that students may attend without concern for after school transportation. We currently offer Lego Club, Spelling Club, Student Council and Steppers, a walking/jogging club with 100% of our students participating in at varying levels.
Sunrise Drive is a learning community committed to the success of each student as they acquire and apply the academic, social, and emotional skills needed in today’s global environment.
