A Guiding Light at Sunrise: Coach Ackerman recognized statewide! 🤖✨

HUGE Congratulations are in order for Catalina Foothills High School Robotics Coach, Ms. Charlotte Ackerman! At Sunrise, Ms. Ackerman is our amazing STEM Integration Specialist who we know as our Robotics Lab Teacher or First Lego League Coach. 

This past weekend at the FTC State Championships, Ms. Ackerman was awarded second place for the prestigious Compass Award out of more than 100 nominations statewide! 🥈🏆

The Compass Award recognizes a coach or mentor who is the "guiding light" for their team. To nominate her, CFHS students—led by Owen Cantor-Goldner—created a beautiful video compiling quotes and photos from current students and Sunrise alumni going back years.

It is a powerful testament to her legacy. Ms. Ackerman doesn't just lead award-winning robotics teams; she teaches vital life skills like collaboration, public speaking, critical thinking, and problem-solving that students carry far beyond graduation.
