OGMS Earns a Standing Ovation for Musical Excellence! 🎵

Huge shoutout to the Orange Grove Middle School music program and rockstar directors Mr. Daniel Vega and Dr. Jason Sah! They have earned the prestigious Dennis W. Smith "Program of Distinction" Award for the 2025–2026 school year. This is the highest possible achievement indicating a flawless or near flawless performance. Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association (ABODA) hands this elite honor to a small number of schools in the entire state each year! 

Our incredible band and orchestra programs have earned this benchmark of excellence by smashing their performances and bringing home multiple "Superior" festival ratings over the past year. Seeing an ABODA Board member present our musicians and directors with their shiny new plaque at the band concert on September 30th was a wonderful tribute to their hard work.

Congratulations to our stellar students, dedicated directors, and amazing community for setting the standard for musical excellence—your recognition was well deserved! 🎉🎶
